The world's largest fort is located in our neighboring country Pakistan - Yes, Ranikot Fort, which is considered to be the largest fort in the world, is located on the Lakki mountain of Kirthar ridge in Jamshor, Sindh province of Pakistan. This fort is also known as the "Wall of Sindh".
It was identified in the year 1993 by Pakistan's National Commission for UNESCO to give it the status of a World Heritage Site.
Construction and construction of Ranikot Fort
This largest historical fort in the world is spread over a radius of about 32 km. This fort is compared to the wall of China, whose length is about 6400 km.
Historians have different opinions about the construction of this fort included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, some historians believe its construction in the beginning of the 20th century, while some people consider the construction of this fort in the 8th-9th century.
According to some historians, this fort was built by the Persian noble Imran bin Moosabarmaki, who had served as the governor of Sindh, although there is no concrete evidence about the construction of this fort.
It is believed that the present structure of this fort was built by Mir Ali Khan Talpur and his brother Mir Muradat Ali in the year 1812, who belonged to the Talpur dynasty.
Let us tell you that the Talpur dynasty ruled Sindh and many parts of present-day Pakistan from 1783 to 1843 and were considered to be the dynasty of the Baloch tribe.
On the other hand, if we talk about the structure of this fort, then it is very attractive, wonderful and grand, which connects many mountains and hills of Kirthar. There is a very large and natural hill in the northern part of this fort, while on other three sides it is covered by walls,
It has 4 main gates, which are known as San Gate, Mohan Gate, Amri Gate, and Shah-Peri Gate.
Not only this, a small fort "Miri Fort" is also located inside this huge fort, which is located at a distance of about 3 kilometers from San Gate.
Apart from this, very attractive ancient architecture has been carved in the walls of the fort of Ranicourt, which is made on sight.
